FAQ
Yes – definitely! You can register and start playing at any point in the season.
In order to keep the game competitive, however, the number of times each team can be picked reduces depending on the GW you register and start playing. This is explained below:
- GW1-5 start = each team can be picked 8 times
- GW6-10 start = each team can be picked 7 times
- GW11-15 start = each team can be picked 6 times
- GW16-20 start = each team can be picked 5 times
- GW21-25 start = each team can be picked 4 times
- GW26-30 start = each team can be picked 3 times
- GW31-35 start = each team can be picked 2 times
- GW36-38 start = each team can be picked once
If you register midway through a GW, you will be eligible to start playing and make your first picks for the start of the following GW.
There’s no limit as to how many players can be in a league. The more the better!
A player can join as many leagues as they want to.
All players are entered into the Global league automatically when they register but they can also create their own personal leagues.
The GW picks a player makes count for all leagues they are part of. Players don’t have to make different picks for each of the different leagues they are part of.
Yes you can! A newly registered player or an existing player can create or join a new league at any point in the season.
When a player joins a new league, their points total in this league starts at zero but their points total in any other leagues they may be part of will not be affected.
A players’ picks tally, points multiplier tally, attack multiplier tally, longest winning streak and season goal difference is not linked to any specific league and is therefore also not affected when a player joins a new league.
If you create a new league midway through a GW, the new league will show under ‘Your Leagues’ and players will be able to join, however, scoring won’t begin until the following GW.
If a newly registered player joins an existing league midway through a GW, they have to wait until the following GW before they can start making picks and scoring points in the league.
If an existing player joins an existing league midway through a GW, however, the picks they’ve already made for the GW and the points scored in the GW will immediately count in this newly joined existing league.
In a match is cancelled either before or after the GW deadline or abandoned after kick off and the teams involved have been available to pick for the GW, a replacement team will be picked by the randomised selector built into the game if a player has picked one of the teams involved in the cancelled or abandoned match. Unlike when a player fails to submit their picks entirely, in this scenario, the player will be awarded points for a win or a draw at the end of the GW if this is their actual result.
If the first match of the GW is cancelled, the deadline for submitting picks will remain the same – the original scheduled kick off time of this match before the cancellation took place.
A player’s picks tally counts the overall number of times a team has been picked in a season and not the number of matches a team plays during a given GW. Therefore, if a team plays more than once in a GW, the extra game they play will not increase a player’s picks tally if they have picked that team for that specific GW.
